lyrics

No-one Told me

No-one told me this was a time
that we could make up,
gonna take the time to get in line
for the shake up.
I’ll see you on the streets
when we get some take up,
I’ll see you on the streets
When we’re pulling all the gates up.

We’ll walk past their lines
On the other side,
because we know the lines they’re throwing us
are wasting our time.
Here comes the naked wind,
there flying in the air flies
all of their cheapskate sin,
and we know that we weren’t born for this,
there’ll be no more dead-too-soons
when we’ve finished this.

And we are the time that we describe,
And yet we know that’s just some tidal slide.
We are the hopes of no fears together,
A sum much greater than this few,
entranced to our land
and to their forgetting brew.

I’ll see you on the streets.
